Sperg notice. Wyrd remains a grammatical function of German, as in ”es wird alles gűt.” You’d touched on the Runes, and I socked away a thought that I’ve since lost. I will recommend a book called Rudiments of Runelore by Stephen Pollington. It favours the Anglo-Saxon Runes, but we speak English so the shoe fits. In your quest to rehabilitate our broken language you might also be intrigued to research Anglish or ”Plainspeak.” Or not, whatever floats your boat or sinks your dinghy. Good show!
